X-radiograph of a pair of breastplates. Contrast optimization in order to reveal hammering marks was obtained by discarding the X-ray beam filters. Other operating conditions were: 80kV, 4mA, 10 min. exposure, 1.5 m source-to-object distance, MX125PB film. Pair of couvre seins, Iran, early 2nd millennium BCE, 12 cm diameter (Musée du Louvre, inv. Sb 3055 a–b).
