Explore classical art through the lens of the Getty Villa’s antiquities collection in this two-part class with senior education specialist Shelby Brown. Take one class, or both. Part two offers a deeper dive into specific time periods and iconic artworks and introduces aspects of Mesopotamian art that intersected with and influenced classical art. The tour for this class will include visits to the exhibitions Assyria: Palace Art of Ancient Iraq and Mesopotamia: Civilization Begins.
