Getty Publications produces award-winning titles that result from or complement the work of the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Getty Conservation Institute, and the Getty Research Institute. To have your manuscript considered for publication, please send a proposal to PubsEditorial@getty.edu. Your proposal should include:
- a cover letter introducing the project
- a complete table of contents, including a brief description of each chapter
- a sample chapter, if available
- the estimated length of your completed manuscript (total word count including main text, footnotes, bibliography, and appendices)
- examples or descriptions of any illustrations, including the total number of images to be used in the text (please do not send originals)
- an assessment of the audience for the work and competing titles
- if the manuscript is not yet complete, indicate the anticipated date of completion
- your cv or resume
