This is a past event

This event has been canceled as part of Getty’s response to the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Explore classical art through the lens of the Getty Villa’s antiquities collection in this two-part class with senior education specialist Shelby Brown. Take one class, or both. Part one is a wild ride through the basics. Learn the very big picture of how Greek and Roman art evolved, including chronology, essential vocabulary, and fun tips for remembering artistic styles. Then tour the galleries and apply your new skills.

Course fee $25 (includes refreshments). Complimentary parking. (Part one is a repeat of a course taught in summer 2018.)

Reserve your ticket for Part II of this series on May 16, 2020.
