About Oscar Rodriguez:
Oscar Rodriguez is a Los Angeles-based illustrator from Mexico City and graduate of CSU Long Beach’s College of the Arts. Oscar was interested in comic book illustrations, but that passion soon transformed into editorial illustration for numerous newspaper publications. Traditionally trained as a fine artist, Oscar took those skills and applied them to a digital media format. His media of choice range from watercolor and pastels to digital illustrations using Corel Painter and Adobe Illustrator. Today, Oscar is a freelance creative artist in both the illustration and graphic design fields. He has also been an art instructor for the last 15 years. Currently, he is a lead artist for Self Help Graphic’s Barrio Mobile Art Studio and has done community workshops all over Los Angeles County.

Sobre el artista:
Óscar Rodríguez es un ilustrador radicado en Los Ángeles, nacido en la Ciudad de México y graduado del College of the Arts de California State University, Long Beach. Óscar se interesó por la ilustración de cómics, pero esa pasión pronto se transformó en la ilustración editorial para numerosas publicaciones periodísticas. Inicialmente, Óscar se formó como artista plástico y aplicó esos conocimientos al formato digital. Trabaja con diversas técnicas, acuarelas, pasteles e ilustraciones digitales que realiza con las herramientas Corel Painter y Adobe Illustrator. Ahora, Óscar trabaja como artista independiente en los campos de la ilustración y el diseño gráfico. También ha sido instructor de arte durante los últimos 15 años. Actualmente, es el artista principal del taller de arte Barrio Mobile Art Studio de Self Help Graphics & Art y ha dirigido talleres comunitarios por todo el condado de Los Ángeles.
