Four contemporary artworks by Melvin Edwards, June Edmonds, Lauren Halsey, and Umar Rashid respond to the exhibition NubiaAdornment | Artifact, a citywide series of five exhibitions and programs that explore the images, impulses, and ideas dispersed beyond Africa through global trade routes and human migration, connecting work by over 70 local artists to millennia-old Nubian traditions.
