Coat of Arms: Family Workshop

GETTY CENTER

Museum Courtyard

This is a past event

What animal are you? Create a coat of arms (shield design) featuring medieval beasts like lions, dragons, and unicorns using simple metalsmithing techniques and pliable foil sheets. Discover the meaning behind popular medieval animals and choose one that represents you or your family—just like the knights and nobles of the Middle Ages. This is a free, drop-in workshop.

This event is held on July 10 and 24, and August 14 and 28.

Complements the exhibition Fantasy of the Middle Ages.
