Template of Categories

Each CDWA category and subcategory has been arranged using a consistent template.

For each category

DEFINITION: Overall definition of the category

SUBCATEGORIES: A list of the subcategories within the present

DISCUSSION: A discussion of the issues surrounding the category

For each subcategory

DEFINITION: Definition for the particular subcategory

EXAMPLES: Examples of the data that could populate this subcategory

DISCUSSION AND GUIDELINES A discussion of the issues surrounding the subcategory and guidelines for the content and sources needed for each field

TERMINOLOGY/FORMAT: Applicable controlled vocabularies other resources and advice on how the data should be formatted

RELATED CATEGORIES AND ACCESS: Subcategories that may be related and ways in which researchers might wish to retrieve the information
