Kumu Hula Kealiʻi Ceballos offers a celebration of voice and dance that embody the creative life force in Hawaiian culture. Kumu's dynamic program is filled with sacred chants and soul-lifting melodies reflecting both the ancient and the modern. The concert will also feature original music by composer and Grammy Award-winner Daniel Ho and special guests Randy Drake and Danna Xue. Hālau Hula Kealiʻi o Nālani captures the spirit of leo (melodic voice/sound), through hula kahiko (ancient hula) and contemporary hula ʻauana.

Presented in collaboration with the Smithsonian Folklife Festival.

This performance is also held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.
