How to Contribute

The Getty Vocabularies are compiled resources that grow through contributions from its users and internal Getty cataloging, exhibitions, and publications. The Getty Vocabularies are recognized as premier resources for indexing and retrieving information about art, architecture, and related disciplines such as art conservation.

By contributing, users benefit from having their data incorporated in the greater whole of these standardized vocabularies, both for their own use and for the benefit of the broader community for referencing, research, and discovery.

Due to major platform improvements that are underway, the Getty Vocabularies are not currently accepting new contributions. A new contributions process for AAT, TGN, and ULAN will begin rollout in Fall 2026.
