Curriculum Workshop for Higher Ed: Teaching with Ed Ruscha’s Streets of Los Angeles
Event
(opens in new tab)This virtual workshop on March 4, 2026 will explore Ed Ruscha’s Streets of Los Angeles archive, a collection of over 700,000 images, and a recent digital publication of multidisciplinary scholarship on the archive. The workshop will provide an overview of both the archive and book and explain how both can serve as a launching pad for engaging students in discussions on Ed Ruscha and postwar American photography, as well as the architecture of Los Angeles and emerging practices in art history.

We are pleased to invite submissions to the Getty Research Journal, an open-access publication presenting peer-reviewed articles on the visual arts of all cultures, regions, and time periods. Submissions are accepted through the journal’s portal on Scholastica, which will reopen on January 2, 2026. The next submission deadline is January 30, 2026.
