Gallery tours can include intern-led drawing activities.

Teen Gallery Guides bring the collections to life through their research and engaging gallery experiences.

Since Teen Gallery Guide-led tours are created by the interns, visitors can explore works of art from across the collection.

Overview
Teen Gallery Guides @ Getty is a paid summer internship opportunity for teens interested in art, working in community with teen peers, building public speaking skills, and engaging with art professionals and museum spaces in unique ways. Over the summer, interns learn strategies for understanding and discussing works of art in the collections, audience engagement techniques, and teaching strategies to lead gallery experiences and activities for school-aged visiting groups and multi-generational visitors.
The Teen Gallery Guides @ Getty program is held at both Getty sites. At the Villa, interns focus on studying and analyzing objects in the collection of ancient Greek and Roman art. Interns at the Center explore the breadth of the Getty collection from the Middle Ages to contemporary art.
The application window for the summer Teen Gallery Guides @ Getty internship typically opens in early February of each year.
