Art Impact: Mindfulness
Mindfulness-based approaches for connecting with works of art

Participants practice mindfulness in the Getty gardens, engaging the senses and connecting with nature.

Participants take a private moment in the galleries to connect with works of art without distractions from the general public.
Overview
Art Impact: Mindfulness consists of mindful looking sessions led by Getty educators, to engage both mind and body with works of art through sensing, feeling, and moving. Participants develop techniques for integrating and deepening their practice beyond the Museum program, emphasizing the value of incorporating mindfulness practices into everyday life. Ultimately, the program aims to foster and deepen connections—to ourselves, to each other and to art.
Art Impact: Mindfulness launched in 2022 and is currently offered in partnership with artworxLA.
Getty fosters mindfulness in many ways, from podcasts to tours, which you can learn more about at our Mindfulness in the Museum project page.
