About

Mabe Fratti is a Guatemalan cellist, composer, and vocalist based in Mexico City, known for her boundary-defying blend of classical, experimental, electronic, and dream pop influences. Her music weaves together layered cello, voice, and synth textures into immersive, emotionally resonant soundscapes that feel both intimate and expansive.

Her 2024 album Sentir Que No Sabes deepens her signature sound—reflective, exploratory, and rich with unexpected sonic turns. The album has earned acclaim for its openness and subtle complexity, reinforcing Fratti’s position as a standout voice in the international experimental scene.

In addition to her solo work, Fratti is a sought-after collaborator and curator. She was a guest curator and performer at the 2024 edition of Le Guess Who? in the Netherlands, where she spotlighted Mexican and Latin American artists including Germán Bringas, Concepción Huerta, and Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto. Recent performances include a haunting opening set for SUNN O))) at Lincoln Center and a standout appearance at Big Ears Festival.

Fratti’s music resists easy categorization, and her collaborative ethos and adventurous spirit continue to draw listeners into her singular sonic world.
