Getty’s Family-Friendly Concert Series Garden Concerts for Kids Returns

Getty’s annual outdoor summer concert series Garden Concerts for Kids is back with an exciting lineup of free music performances for families. The series kicks off at the Getty Center on August 2 and 3 with 123 Andrés, followed by Kymberly Stewart on August 9 and 10, and Divinity Roxx Presents: Divi Roxx Kids World Wide Playdate on August 16 and 17.

Concerts will be held in Getty’s Central Garden at 4pm. Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic and blanket for the concert and enjoy a full day’s visit, starting with exciting art exhibitions on view. A free reservation at Getty.edu is required for entry.

“Since 2009, Garden Concerts for Kids has been a fun way for families to spend time together listening to dance-filled music amid Getty’s blooming Central Garden,” says Daniela Alvarez, public programs coordinator at the Getty Museum. “This year’s performers bring a diverse mix of groovy sounds and genres with empowering lyrics that uplift children through storytelling.”

Past Garden Concerts for Kids performers in the series include memorable artists like The Okee Dokee Brothers, Pierce Freelon, Jazzy Ash, and more.

The Getty has new extended hours and is now open from Tuesday through Friday and Sunday from 10am to 6:30pm and Saturday from 10am to 9pm. Parking is $25, or $15 after 3pm and $10 after 6pm. Please be aware that folding chairs, glass, and alcohol are not permitted.

Garden Concerts for Kids performers:

Saturday and Sunday, August 2 and 3 – 123 Andrés

Christina and Andrés are 123 Andrés, the GRAMMY and Latin Grammy-winning duo for kids and families known for their interactive, high-energy shows. They bring fresh, original songs that blend Spanish and English, with an eclectic mix of sounds from all corners of Latin America. 123 Andrés pack their show with positive vibes and energetic songs that get the whole family dancing and learning.

Saturday and Sunday, August 9 and 10 – Kymberly Stewart

Kymberly Stewart is a vibrant children's singer, songwriter, and music educator from Los Angeles. Her joyful songs blend jazz, gospel, and soulful pop, creating a sound that lifts up kids while keeping grown-ups grooving too. With lyrics that speak to children and music that resonates with the whole family, Kymberly brings a warm, welcoming energy to every performance, inspiring kids to shine as their true selves.

Saturday and Sunday, August 16 and 17 – Divinity Roxx Presents: Divi Roxx Kids World Wide Playdate

Get ready to move, groove, and be inspired with artist, producer, author, educator, and two-time Grammy-nominated Divinity Roxx, who created Divi Roxx Kids to uplift children through music and storytelling. With empowering lyrics and unstoppable energy, Divinity brings a one-of-a-kind concert experience that blends hip-hop, funk, and fun. Her family albums have been nominated for Best Children's Music Album twice, and her songs have even been turned into colorful picture books by Scholastic Inc. From PBS Kids to Kidzapalooza, Divinity lights up every stage with positivity, creativity, and pure kid joy.
