Davide Gasparotto
Senior Curator, Department Head
After completing his studies at the University and the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, Davide began his career as curator at the National Gallery of Parma, Italy. Before joining the Getty Museum in 2014, he served as the director of the Galleria Estense in Modena from 2012 to 2014. He specializes in painting, sculpture, and decorative arts of the Renaissance; the rediscovery of classical antiquity; and the history of collecting, with particular emphasis on the Italian Renaissance.
Scott Allan
Curator
Scott came to the Getty Museum in 2006 after completing his MA at Williams College and PhD at Princeton University. He is a specialist in 19th-century European painting, with a particular emphasis on France. His research interests include aspects of artistic process and technique, museum and exhibition culture, critical reception, and the art market.
Ashley Boykins
Senior Staff Assistant
Ashley earned her BA in art history with a minor in German from Loyola Marymount University following initial studies at the School of Visual Arts, New York. Before joining the Getty Museum in 2023, Ashley worked at Arcana: Books on the Arts, where she assisted in cataloging the Whitney and Lee Kaplan African American Visual Culture Collection, which was acquired by the Getty Research Institute in 2022.
Anne Woollett
Curator
Anne received her MA from The Courtauld Institute of Art and PhD from Columbia University. She joined the Getty Museum in 1998 and specializes in Flemish, Dutch, and German painting before 1800. Anne’s research interests include the works of Rubens and Rembrandt, collaboration in painting, collecting Netherlandish art in the Western United States, corporate devotional practice, and the technical study of works of art.
