Getty Center Field Trips

• Registration for Fall 2026 field trips at the Getty Center is now open!
• During ongoing closures and improvements to the museum, the number of students allowed on site each day will be temporarily limited.
• Beginning in fall 2026, high school groups (grades 9–12) may choose a docent-led tour or a self‑guided experience with chaperones.
• Due to a major campus modernization project, the Getty Center’s Field Trip Program will pause in January 2027. The entire site will then close on March 15, 2027, with a planned reopening in spring 2028. We look forward to welcoming school groups back onsite following the reopening!

During fall 2026, student groups in grades K–8 will receive docent‑led guided tours. Student groups in grades 9–12 may choose either a docent‑led tour or a self‑guided experience.

All museum field trips booked specifically through School Group Reservations are free.

2026 Fall

Tour Dates: September 8, 2026–December 18, 2026
Tour Days: Tuesday–Friday
Tour Times: 10:15am, 10:45am, 11:45am, and 12:15pm

Available for groups of 10 students (minimum) to 60 (maximum) in grades K–12.

2027 Spring

The Getty Center’s Field Trip Program will be on hiatus from January 2027 until after the site reopens in spring 2028. You are welcome to take your students on a field trip to the Getty Villa Museum! The Villa’s Field Trip Program will be operating at full capacity throughout the Center’s closure.
