About

What becomes possible when museums collaborate?

Timothy Potts, director of the J. Paul Getty Museum, welcomes Nicholas Cullinan, director of the British Museum, for a conversation on global partnerships in art, culture and heritage, and the opportunities they bring to museums and the communities they serve. Considering two institutions with distinct histories—a public museum founded in 1753 and a private institution established two centuries later—their discussion reflects on shared challenges and how today’s museums reckon with the past and are evolving into vibrant places for debate, dialogue, and cultural exchange.

This program is presented in collaboration with the British Consulate-General, Los Angeles; BritWeek; and The Lab Mag.
