Annette Leddy
Bio
Annette Leddy is a consulting curator and cataloger of archives at the Getty Research Institute and a writer on art and literature. The exhibition Farewell to Surrealism: the Dyn Circle in Mexico, co-curated by Leddy and Donna Conwell, is currently on view at the Getty Research Institute and is accompanied by a catalog. Leddy previously co-curated the GRI exhibition Tumultuous Assembly: Visual Poems of the Italian Futurists. Leddy has published essays on writers Roberto Bolano, Angelo Rognoni, and Jorge Luis Borges, and on contemporary artists William Leavitt, Larry Bell, Allan Kaprow, and Robert Watts, among others. In 2009 she was awarded an Art Writers grant from the Warhol Foundation and was a finalist for the Frieze Writer's Prize. She will be a writer-in-residence at the Montalvo Arts Center in 2013. She reviews contemporary art for Frieze Magazine, X-tra Contemporary Art Quarterly, and other journals.
