About
Goal
The goal of the Getty Marrow Emerging Professionals pilot program is to provide greater opportunities to participate in arts museums and nonprofits through meaningful entry level employment and mentoring that are crucial to building lasting arts careers for aspiring professionals from all types of underrepresented groups in the arts.
Approach
The program consists of coordinated entry level jobs and mentoring at 10 Los Angeles arts institutions. The positions are funded through grants to the partner organizations listed below, all of which have a strong commitment to providing greater opportunities in the arts. Getty is also supporting two jobs at the Getty Museum and Getty Research Institute. Getty Marrow alumni apply directly to the organizations hosting Emerging Professionals using these job position links.
The program complements and extends the Foundation’s long-running Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship program, with all positions open only to Getty Marrow internship alumni. Upon conclusion of the pilot program, the Foundation will evaluate its impact to determine the program's future and share the results.
