About
Goal
These grants provide opportunities for practitioners and specialists from countries underrepresented in the fields of art history and cultural heritage to connect with international experts, enhance their practical and theoretical knowledge, and take lessons-learned back to share with their local communities.
Outcomes
- Over 260 grants have been awarded to organizations worldwide, including the International Council of Museums, International Council on Monuments and Sites, College Art Association, Asia Society, and Comité International d’Histoire de l’Art
- Representatives from more than 130 countries have received funding to attend annual meetings, conferences, and symposia
- Increased training, education, and mentorship of participating professionals in the fields of art history, conservation, and museums
Approach
Grants are available by invitation only to professional organizations that serve museums and the disciplines of art history and conservation. Grants primarily support the attendance of colleagues, specifically from countries with emerging economies, at large-scale international forums for professional exchange.
