Pietro Edwards Project

The Getty Project for the Study of Collecting and Provenance (PSCP) is collaborating with the Fondazione di Venezia to provide worldwide access through the Getty Provenance Index databases to inventories of art owned and sold during the 15th to 19th centuries in Venice. The Fondazione di Venezia funds the project Il Collezionismo d'arte a Venezia, a digitized catalog of the Venetian collections between 1500 and 1800. The project aims to offer a study on art collecting in Venice, reconstructing the development of the collections and the provenance of works of art. The Il Collezionismo d'arte a Venezia project is led by Stefania Mason. Collaborators in the project are Linda Borean, Isabella Cecchini and Rosella Lauber.
