Component Three: Evaluation
The project evaluation component provides the opportunity for GCI staff to meet periodically with the OWHC Board to discuss the issues that concern World Heritage Cities. On the basis of these discussions, the GCI will identify and select the conservation issues that it believes it can address with its resources and in partnership with other institutions and municipalities.

The project evaluation component will also examine the possibility for the OWHC to adapt a model approach for all its future World Symposia. This approach entails selected conservation experts and mayors presenting issues of common interest that are then discussed by all the participants. The approach also includes the pre-conference course, an introduction to conservation, for newly elected mayors and officials.
