Assignment
Read About the Artist Who Painted A Hare in the Forest
Meet Hans Hoffmann, a talented artist who lived a long time ago during a creative and energetic time called the Renaissance. Hans was famous for his beautiful paintings that showed nature and people in a very detailed way.
Hans loved to paint pictures of flowers, animals, and even people. He was so good at painting that people often thought his paintings were made by another famous artist named Albrecht Dürer! That’s because Hans was really good at copying his style.
Hans traveled to different cities in Germany, like Nuremberg and Munich, where he painted for important people, like dukes and emperors. He made many paintings of kings and queens.
Even though Hans lived a long time ago, we can still see some of his paintings today in museums. His paintings help us learn about what life was like during the Renaissance.
Can you find the places Hoffmann traveled to on a map? If you could travel anywhere in the world to paint nature, where would you go?
