About

Need help recovering your fire-damaged art and heirlooms? In response to the fires of January 2025, trained conservation professionals are offering the following services:

  • Providing condition assessments of recovered artworks and belongings
  • Cleaning objects to remove soot and ash
  • Demonstrating at-home odor remediation and cleaning techniques
  • Custom archival boxes for safe storage

Know Before You Go

What can I bring?

Bring artworks, photographs, photo albums, stuffed animals, toys, collectibles, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, and other cherished belongings that survived the fires. Each person may bring up to up to three small objects or one large artwork/belonging (no larger than 30” at greatest length).

If possible, pack your object in a plastic bin, plastic baggie, or wrap in plastic sheeting.

Parking

Parking validation will be provided to each registrant. Directions to the event location at the Getty Center will be provided to registrants prior to the event.
