Artist
Andrés Cortes (b. 1985, Los Angeles) is a California-born artist of Mexican descent. Cortes earned a BFA in Drawing and Painting from California State University, Long Beach. He is a 2025 Sam Francis Foundation Call-to-Dream Fellow and was featured in the Los Angeles Times for his work preserving affordable housing in Cypress Park. In 2016 he founded ARVIA Projects and he currently teaches through the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs.
Front-facing child carriers are the only type of carrier permitted in galleries and strollers must be smaller than 31 in x 52 in (79 cm x 132 cm).
Complimentary strollers are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the T1 level of the parking structure and the museum coat check in the Entrance Hall.
