Archaeologist Simon James presents evidence of a ferocious battle at the ancient city of Dura-Europos, Syria, in AD 256 and suggests an early form of chemical warfare was used against the Roman defenders. This program is co-presented with the Archaeological Institute of America, the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, and the Ahmanson Foundation.
