ONLINE ONLY

This is a past event

To complement the exhibition Cy Twombly: Making Past Present, curator Scott Allan and San Francisco-based poet and professor Dean Rader discuss the impact of Twombly’s art on Rader's writing, with particular attention to his recent poem "Meditation on Remembering, Or a Golden Shovel for Sappho and Breonna Taylor.”

Dean Rader is an award-winning author and co-author of eleven books and the recipient of the 2019 Guggenheim Fellowship in Poetry. He is working on the forthcoming book Before the Borderless: Dialogues with the Art of Cy Twombly, which will feature Rader’s poems alongside corresponding images by Twombly.
