This project focused on the career of British critic and curator Lawrence Alloway and his impact on art history, criticism, and museum practice in Europe and America. Through in-depth research conducted largely in Alloway’s papers, this project revealed how the archives of critics and curators—in addition to those of artists—serve as valuable art historical resources.
