Getty Scholars' Workspace™

This project was a globally accessible online environment for art historical research. The Getty Scholars’ Workspace™ was a flexible, robust, open-source electronic toolset, which offered digital facsimiles of primary source materials and the ability to assemble and annotate texts, images, and multimedia. Signaling a significant paradigm shift in the field of art history, the Scholars’ Workspace embraced new methodologies for collaboratively managing and presenting complex information via digital technologies.
