Note: Celtic script used in inscriptions in the Irish and Pictish languages, dating from the fourth century and found in Britain and Ireland. Its alphabet consists of 20 characters represented by notches or straight or diagonal strokes, varying in number from one to five and drawn or cut to the left, right, or directly through vertical lines or the edges of the vertical stone monuments on which they were carved. Besides stone monuments, they are traditionally said to have been used on shields and wooden staves, and occur in at least one 14th-century manuscript.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 塞爾特語的書寫體，被用在愛爾蘭語與匹克特語的碑文，始於西元第四世紀，發現地點為大不列顛島與愛爾蘭島。其字母系統包含20個字元，所呈現的有刻痕、直線或對角線的筆畫，筆畫由一到五畫不等，刻畫方式是向左、向右或直接通過所雕刻石碑上的垂直線或邊緣來刻畫。除了石碑之外，傳說也曾被用於盾與木杖，且至少出現在一份十四世紀的手稿中。 |
| Dutch ..... Keltisch schrift dat werd gebruikt voor inscripties in de Ierse en Pictische taal, stammend uit de 4de eeuw en aangetroffen in Brittannië en Ierland. Het alfabet bestond uit twintig lettertekens, voorgesteld door inkepingen en rechte of diagonale lijnen, variërend in aantal van een tot vijf. Ze werden getekend of gesneden links of rechts van of dwars door de verticale lijnen of randen van verticale stenen monumenten. Behalve op stenen monumenten zouden ze ook zijn gebruikt op schilden en houten stokken en komen ze voor in ten minste één 14de eeuws manuscript. |
