Lichte, voor en achter gelijke boten die in de branding opereren, 8 m lang zijn, plaats bieden aan tien roeiers, een midzwaard, een roer en een loggerzeil hebben; zijn in 1934 ontworpen door de Unites States Coast Guard, worden soms als gig gebruikt en zijn genoemd naar Monomoy Island, in Cape Cod, in de Amerikaanse staat Massachusetts. |
