Grote, zeevarende schepen uit de 15e tot eind 17e eeuw, gekenmerkt door een hoog achterkasteel, een hoog, overhangend voorkasteel en een lage kuil; ze werden als handels- of oorlogsschepen gebruikt; meestal met razeilen aan de fokkemast en grote mast, en latijnzeilen aan de resterende één tot drie andere masten. |
| German ..... Großes, seetüchtiges Schiff des 15. Jahrhunderts bis 17. Jahrhunderts, gekennzeichnet durch ein hohes Achterkastell, ein hohes, überhängendes Vorderkastell und ein niedriges Mittelschiff; konnte entweder als Handelsschiff oder als Kriegsschiff genutzt werden; gewöhnlich mit Rahsegeln am Fockmast und Großmast sowie Lateinsegel an den übrigen ein bis drei Masten. |
| Spanish ..... Barco grande y de trayecto marítimo, del siglo XV al XVII, que se distingue por su alto castillo de popa, su alto y colgante castillo delantero, y una cintura baja. Podía ser utilizado tanto como barco de mercancía o barco de guerra. Generalmente con aparejo cuadrado atrás y en el mástil principal y aparejo de vela latina en los tres mástiles restantes. |
