Aizen Myōō (Buddhist character)

Note: Japanese Buddhist deity, one of the five Kings of Brightness (Godai Myo-o) who protect and uphold Buddhist law and practices. Aizen My$10o$10o transforms lust and worldly wants into desires for spiritual enlightenment through his fearsome appearance and his lion headpiece, which consumes thoughts. Has features appropriated from both the Hindu god of love, Kama, and the Buddhist deity Rāgarāja. Usually depicted sitting on a lotus flower with jewels spilling out of the base, Aizen Myōō is depicted with several arms holding a vajra, a vajra bell, a bow and arrow, and a lotus bud.
