	Virgin Birth (Christian theme)

Note: Theme that Jesus was miraculously conceived in the womb and born of Mary while she was yet a virgin. Often portrayed in the Annunciation scene, where the Holy Spirit aloft is the source of rays descending to the Virgin's womb area. From Matthew 1:18-25 and Luke 1:26-38. Distinguished from the Immaculate Conception, which refers to Mary having been born without original sin on her soul.
