Thesiger, Wilfred (English travel writer and photographer, 1910-2003)
|
Note: Explorer remembered for his works of travel literature documenting vanishing cultures, chiefly the societies of the Bedouins of the Arabian Peninsula and the Marsh Arabs of southern Iraq. He was a prolific photographer, and made thousands of portraits and landscapes throughout Africa, the Middle East, and West and Central Asia.
