Note: He made drawings from nature that he would then engrave, print, and color; notably, "Natural History of the Insects of Great Britain," published in 1766. He exhibited a series of drawings of English insects at the Royal Academy, London in 1785. His "The Natural System of Colours" was published in 1811. |
