Adler and Sullivan (American architectural firm, 1883-1924)
|
Note: The formal partnership of Dankmar Adler and Louis H. Sullivan was formed in 1883, although Sullivan had worked with Adler a few years earlier. After the formation of the partnership, matters of design were often carried out by Sullivan, while Adler concentrated on the business and engineering concerns of their projects. The firm first achieved prominence in 1886, when they secured a large commission for the Chicago Auditorium Building. |
