Note: The firm "Ross & Macdonald" dissolved when Robert Henry Macdonald died in December 1942. George Allen Ross continued to use the well-known name of "Ross & Macdonald" under the guise of a financial company founded in 1921, "Ross & Macdonald, Inc." (1921-1944). Macdonald's son Roddick was listed as a partner of "Ross & Macdonald, Inc.", although he did not possess an architectural degree. When the Province of Quebec Association of Architects disallowed Ross to employ the name of "Ross & Macdonald", Ross formed a new firm with his son John Kenneth Ross, "Ross & Ross" (1944-1946).
