Chinese (traditional) ..... 特指日本茶道儀式使用的茶碗,為無握把的小型器皿,不規則或不完美的藝術美學為其特色,傳統為陶土製成,並上有色彩柔和的釉。若指外觀類似,並用於飲用茶、但與日本茶道無關的其他器皿(包括十八世紀歐洲量產的碗,有些有搭配的茶碟),則見「茶盞」一詞。 
Dutch ..... Specifiek, de ceremoniële theekom die men gebruikt bij Japanse theeceremonies. Het zijn kleine vaten zonder oren en vaak met een onregelmatige of anderszins imperfecte vorm. Traditioneel gemaakt van aardewerk en geglazuurd in zachte tinten. Gebruik ���theekommen' voor vaten met een vergelijkbare vorm die zijn bedoeld om thee uit te drinken, maar niet binnen de context van de Japanse theeceremonie ��� zoals kommen die in de achttiende eeuw in Europa werden vervaardigd, al dan niet met schotel.
