| Chinese (traditional) ..... 護胸甲上裝置的板金甲，初期僅覆蓋胸腹下半部，後來發展成全副胸甲，厚度因此增加一倍。這種雙層甲衣適用於競技及野戰，而隨著槍械火力增強，此類型胸甲也愈形普遍。 |
| Dutch ..... Metalen platen die in het begin aan het onderste gedeelte, maar later over het gehele borststuk werden vastgemaakt, waardoor de dikte werd verdubbeld. Ze deden dienst als versterkingsstukken voor zowel toernooi- als velduitrusting, en werden steeds meer gemeengoed naarmate de vuurkracht van wapens toenam. |
| Spanish ..... Pedazos de placa unidos a la coraza, inicialmente en su desarrollo solamente se usaba en la mitad inferior pero más adelante se extendieron, doblando su grueso. Sirvieron para el torneo y la armadura de guerra, llegando a ser cada vez más comunes.
