Note: Refers to a pottery style found on Crete in the Late Neolithic and Early Minoan periods. It is characterized by a surface fired to a dark brown or black and burnished with a smooth pebble or wooden burnisher to produce a linear decoration. In its early phase, decoration was simple. In its later phases, decoration was more advanced, comprising horizontal or vertical burnished lines, zigzags, crosshatching, parallel lines, or solid areas of burnishing. It was made in various shapes, although it is especially noted for distinctive footed chalices.

Chinese (traditional) ..... 指稱發展於晚期新石器時代與早期邁諾安時期,在克里特島所發現的陶器風格。此風格的特徵是表面焙燒至深棕色或黑色,並且以一顆光滑的小卵石或者是木製的拋光器加以打磨拋光,以製造出一種線性裝飾。此風格在早期階段的裝飾十分簡單。而在晚期階段,其裝飾則更進一步發展,由諸多平行或者是垂直的拋光線條、之字形、相交線、平行線,或者是實心的拋光區域所構成。雖然此風格的陶器外形以獨特的高腳酒杯而著名,但是其創作品仍然有著各種不同的形制。 
Dutch ..... Verwijst naar een aardewerkstijl die voorkwam op Kreta in de laat-neolithische en Vroeg-Minoïsche periode. De stijl kenmerkt zich door een oppervlak dat donkerbruin tot zwart is gebakken, en is gepolijst met een zachte kiezel of een houten polijstborstel om decoratieve lijnen te verkrijgen. In de vroege fase was de decoratie eenvoudig. In de latere fasen werd de decoratie geavanceerder, met horizontaal of verticaal gepolijste lijnen, zigzag- lijnen, kruisarceringen, parallelle lijnen, of aaneengesloten gepolijste vlakken. De stijl werd in verschillende vormen uitgevoerd, maar is vooral bekend vanwege typische kelken op een kenmerkende voet. 
Spanish ..... Se refiere a un estilo de cerámica encontrado en Creta en los períodos Neolítico Tardío y Minoico Temprano. Se caracteriza por una superficie quemada a un castaño oscuro o negro y bruñida con un guijarro liso o abrillantador de madera para producir una decoración lineal. En su fase temprana, la decoración era simple. En sus fases posteriores, la decoración fue más avanzada y comprende líneas bruñidas horizontales o verticales, zigzages, cuadriculado, líneas paralelas o áreas enteras de bruñido. Se hizo en varias formas, aunque es especialmente conocido por los característicos cálices con pies.
