Note: Idiophones invented in the 1920s consisting of a small flexible steel blade or lamella suspended in a wire frame ending in a handle. As the player waves the instrument, the blade is struck alternately on each side by wooden or rubber knobs on the end of wires fastened to the frame. For instruments whose sound is produced essentially by plucking lamellae, use "lamellaphones." |

Chinese (traditional) ..... 發明於二○年代的體鳴樂器,將具有彈性的小形鋼片或薄片,懸掛於末端具握把的金屬框上組成。演奏者揮動彈音器時,固定於邊框金屬線末端的木製或橡膠球狀物,即會交替敲擊鋼片的兩邊發聲。若指主要以撥彈薄片發聲的樂器,則使用「薄片琴」一詞。

Dutch ..... Slaginstrumenten rond 1920 uitgevonden, bestaande uit een klein, buigzaam stalen blad of lamel die is opgehangen in een raamwerk van ijzerdraad dat uitloopt in een handvat. Aan weerszijden bevinden zich metalen staafjes met aan de uiteinden houten of rubberen knoppen die afwisselend op elke kant van het blad slaan als de speler met het instrument zwaait; |
German ..... Idiofon, in den 1920er Jahren erfunden, das aus einer kleinen, elastischen Stahlzunge besteht, die in einen U-förmigen Metallrahmen eingespannt ist, der in einen Griff ausläuft. Wenn der Spieler das Instrument schüttelt, wird die Zunge abwechselnd gegen zwei Klöppel aus Holz oder Gummi geschlagen, die jeweils zu beiden Seiten am Ende der Zunge angebracht sind.
