Dutch ..... Kledingstukken zonder of met korte mouwen, die bestaan uit voor- en achterpanden en met open zijden. Ze worden gedragen over andere kledingstukken, soms met heraldische emblemen, door ridders, herauten of burgers, voornamelijk tussen de 12de en de 14de eeuw. Gebruik 'blazoenen' voor gewatteerde of doorgestikte beschermende kledingstukken die over metalen harnassen werden gedragen en die waren verfraaid met heraldische emblemen. |
