Dutch ..... Verwijst naar een christelijke geestelijke kerkfunctionaris die officieel is verbonden aan een bepaald huishouden of instituut. Het betreft bijvoorbeeld een geestelijke die werkzaam is voor het hof of de huishouding van een soeverein vorst of heer, of voor een kasteel, schip, garnizoen, regiment of andere groep binnen de landmacht of marine, universiteit of hogeschool, schoolinstelling, armenhuis, gevangenis, begraafplaats, wetgevende kamer of andere openbare instelling. De term kan ook in zijn oorspronkelijke betekenis worden gebruikt en verwijst dan naar de priester of een andere geestelijke die de diensten in een kapel leidt of verzorgt. |
