Note: Species of medium sized evergreen spruce growing at high altitudes in western North America, from Idaho and Wyoming to Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico, United States. The blue spruce has a light bluish-gray tone to its needles and is commonly used for landscaping and gardens. Its weak and brittle timber is used locally for log cabins. Occasionally the name blue spruce is incorrectly used for black spruce trees.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 中型常綠雲杉的種名，生長在北美洲西部的高海拔地帶，從美國愛達荷州和懷俄明州延伸到猶他州、科羅拉多州、亞利桑納州以及新墨西哥州。藍葉雲杉的針葉有種淺藍灰的色調，一般是用來進行景觀美化和花園造景。其木材脆弱、易碎，在美國當地是用來建造木屋。「藍葉雲杉」這個名稱偶爾會被誤用來指稱黑雲杉。 |
| Dutch ..... Middelgrote soort groenblijvende spar die op grote hoogten groeit in het westen van de Verenigde Staten, van Idaho en Wyoming tot Utah, Colorado, Arizona en New Mexico. De blauwspar heeft naalden met een lichte blauwachtig grijze tint en wordt veel gebruikt voor landschapsinrichting en in tuinen. Zijn zwakke en broze hout wordt lokaal gebruikt voor blokhutten. Soms wordt de naam 'blauwspar' incorrect gebruikt voor zwarte sparren. |
