According to this article, Allan Kaprow held the introductory meeting for Soap, as planned, in the courtyard of the Ringling Museum of Art, where he explained that the happening was a “ritual” and “symbolic of life and death.” But on Wednesday morning, Kaprow reportedly announced that the happening was canceled “because of misinterpretation of intent.”
