Travel to Los Angeles
Each graduate intern is responsible for making all his/her own travel arrangements for both their Los Angeles arrival and departure.
As part of your grant, you will receive a travel fund of $1,500 toward relocation expenses the first week of your internship. Graduate Interns are free to use this money as they see fit; it is not necessary to present receipts.
Graduate Interns travelling to the US with a J-1 visa should read, and become familiar with, the J-1 visa guidelines before starting their trip.

Educational Travel Allowance
All graduate interns are eligible for a $2,500 educational travel allowance, which is not to be used for the intern's travel to and from the internship. This allowance is intended for educational purposes only, and not for departmental use. Further information regarding your educational travel stipend will be provided once you are in residence at the Getty.
