Agnes of Rome, Saint

Note: Virgin martyr, venerated as a saint in the Roman Catholic Church and other Christian sects. Of noble family, her high-ranking suitors, slighted by her resolute devotion to religious purity, sought to persecute her for her beliefs and she was martyred at age 13 by burning at the stake and beheading. Her attribute is a lamb.
