Aker (Egyptian deity)

Note: Ancient Egyptian god of Earth and the East and West Horizons. Depicted as a recumbent lion with a widely opened mouth; later depicted as twin lion torsos, merged with each other but looking away from each other. The twin lions were called Duaj (meaning "yesterday") and Sefer (meaning "tomorrow").
